Hot Summer Nights Plyler Park Myrtle Beach Boardwalk Concert Schedule
Every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday night come on down to Plyler Park and enjoy a night full of music and fun on the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk! Second Avenue Pier
At the southern most end of the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk is the longest pier in Myrtle Beach. Stretching nearly 910 feet into the blue Atlantic Ocean, the Second Avenue North Pier is opened year round for fishing and those who just enjoy pier walks. Pier operating hours are from 7:00 am until 1:00 am during peak season which is usually May-June-July-August. During the off season, it's always best to call the tackle shop at 843-445-PIER (7437), then press 1. The pier does close at 7 pm on Wednesday nights for the merchants weekly fireworks show. Myrtle Beach Garners Best Beach Destination for 2011
Thanks in large part due to the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk, the beaches and attractions of Myrtle Beach have once again been proclaimed "Best Beach Destination" by TripAdvisor. This is the second year in a row Myrtle Beach has won this prestigious award. Lots of new attractions are cropping up around the boardwalk area. By far the most visible is the SkyWheel. With its 42 climate-controlled gondolas, the SkyWheel will provide tourists and locals alike a breath taking ride and view of the Grand Strand coast line. SkyWheel Adds Family Fun To Boardwalk
The Myrtle Beach Boardwalk is getting a new 200 foot neighbor! The SkyWheel ferris wheel, is being built just a stones throw from the boardwalk, adjacent to Plyler Park. With a price tag of 12 to 15 million dollars, its joins the 1.2 mile Boardwalk and Promenade as Myrtle Beach's newest ocean front attractions. Plans for the new SkyWheel include 42 Swiss made glass-enclosed, temperature-controlled gondolas, and will hold 6 to 8 riders each with each ride lasting 9 to 12 minutes.
