Oktoberfest Myrtle Beach 2010
The City of Myrtle Beach will host it's annual 2010 Myrtle Beach Oktoberfest on Ocean Boulevard, adjacent to the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk on October 9th. Festivities are scheduled to be held along Eighth Avenue North and Mr. Joe White Avenue (Tenth Avenue North) and runs from noon to 11 p.m. The days festivities end with an oceanfront fireworks show. Fantastic German food and beer will of course be the main attractions. Planned activities include a bratwurst-eating contest or one can browse the many arts-and-crafts booths. Myrtle Beach Boardwalk Public Parking
There are numerous public parking areas along Ocean Boulevard available for those wishing to take a little road trip to the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk. If you plan on spending several hours or the whole day around the board walk area, family time at the beach, or doing some shopping, bring along several dollar bills to feed the parking meters. Some of the parking meters take credit cards, but not all of them. Public parking is also available at a large parking garage, located about a block away from the boardwalk, between 9th and 10th Avenue North. Walk The Boards Catch a Memorial Day Parade
Memorial Day weekend 2010 in Myrtle Beach is shaping up to be a fun family time! This year, not only can you stroll the beautiful brand new Myrtle Beach Boardwalk, you can catch the City of Myrtle Beach Memorial Day parade. The parade Grand Marshall is really "out of this world", astronaut Buzz Aldrin who just happens to be the second person to walk on the moon.
