
The Myrtle Beach Boardwalk will be the hotspot for Myrtle Beach St. Patrick’s Day 2012 festivities. The city has a full day of activities planned, including live concerts and the Boardwalk merchants plenty of Irish themed food.
It all happens on Saturday, March 17, starting at noon. Admission to the all the fun and festivities is free.
Ocean Boulevard will be closed off from the old Myrtle Beach Pavilion site to 10th Avenue North. Parking will be available East of Highway 17 Business in street parking spaces, private lots and the Pavilion parking garage (the corner of Kings Highway and 8th Avenue North).
2 concert stages will be set up and the music will flow all day long. Starting at 12:20 with
Bullfrog and finishing up with
Rusted Root taking the main concert stage at 9:30pm. One of Myrtle Beach favorites bands,
Mother's Finest will light up the Irish stage from 6 to 7pm. The
Dixieland Band will cruise the
Myrtle Beach Boardwalk from 2-5pm, and the Myrtle Beach Pipe and Drum Corps will provide boardwalk entertainment starting at 6:30pm.
For your dining and drinking pleasure, several beer stations, and a Beer Garden will be set up, along with numerous food booths.
A “No Alcohol Zone” is being planned at Plyer Park where inflatables will be set up for the kiddies enjoyment.
So, get out and enjoy St. Patrick’s Day 2012, Myrtle Beach Boardwalk style!
